Ben Hernstrom

Ben Hernstrom is an artist and Lecturer at the University of Colorado whose practice explores urban alienation, inequality, and the intersection of global capitalism with personal and environmental health. Informed by his upbringing in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, his work utilizes videos, digital photography, audio installations, performance, and concrete sculpture. His projects, which investigate themes of otherness, privilege, and the fragility of sensory perception, have been exhibited in galleries and festivals across Europe and the United States.
